How To Reduce Your Inflammation

September 03, 2019

INFLAMMATION...Did you know that reducing the inflammation in your body can help protect you against several major diseases (cancer, Heart attack, stroke, diabetes, asthma, etc.)? Eating healthy and overall self maintenance/care will reduce the inflammation in your body, and can be done with the help of some natural remedies and activities.

How to Reduce Your Inflammation?!

Here are some suggestions to consider:
-Eat those green vegetables: Spinach, lettuces, and cucumbers are not only low in calories, but will provide your body with the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants it needs to help reduce inflammation.
-Do some gentle exercise or yoga: Our bodies were meant to move. However, too often we are stuck behind a desk or the wheel and become sedentary. Gentle exercise and Yoga will get the blood flowing and the joints moving to help your overall health.

-Sleep more. Try to sleep 7-8 hours per night in an effort to keep yourself well, hence, warding off inflammation!
-Get a massage or try acupuncture. Both stimulate the body and gets blood flowing from head to toe. Like exercise, getting the blood to flow is a critical part of healthy living.
-Other foods. Turmeric (Something found in curry) and ginger can help combat inflammation.
-Reduce stress. When you make the effort to reduce stress you will instantly feel the effects. Learn to practice self-care, unwind, and take a few minutes a day for you. Take a short walk at lunch or propping your feet up somewhere quiet for a few minutes a day can do wonders for your well being.

All of these suggestions can help lower levels of the inflammation-promoting hormones we need to get rid of. There are numerous other ways to reduce your inflammation, but this is a good place to start. Give your system an overall checks & balance, and use the above information as tools to reset the person you want to be.

If you are considering using a diet supplement or any form of alternative medicine for inflammation, make sure to consult with your physician first. Self-treating any condition and avoiding or delaying standard care may have serious consequences.
